Ein angenehmes visuelles Ambiente kann die Architektur unterstützen und gleichzeitig möglichst effizient im Energieverbrauch sein. Im Vordergrund steht das Licht und dessen Wirkung als Vermittler von Raum und Material und somit der Architektur.
Die Wege durch das Areal werden mit Parkleuchten beleuchtet, welche sich durch ein angenehmes und blendfreies Licht auszeichnen. Die Eingänge zu den Gebäuden sind einladend und warm in Holz ausgekleidet. Die Beleuchtung nimmt diese Thematik auf und betont die Einschnitte im Betonkörper in den Abendstunden.
Die Aula ist der Brennpunkt der Kommunikation. Die Schule präsentiert sich hier als aufmerksamer Gastgeber - auch gerade durch stimmungsvolles Licht.
Im Mehrzweck- und Sportbereich treten die Leuchten in den Hintergrund. Vielmehr belebt das Licht hier die abwechselnden architektonischen Elemente. Seien es beleuchtete Nischen und Wandflächen oder auch ein Oblicht, stets dienen die beleuchteten Flächen der Orientierung und (beg-)leiten den Weg zwischen dem Sportbereich und den Schultrakten.
Die drei Schultrakte O, P und A zeichnen sich durch transluszente Leuchten aus. Ob in Form der runden Klassenzimmerleuchte oder der verspielten „Wolken“ in den Lufträumen der Treppenhäuser - das weiche Licht der durchleuchteten Materialien bietet einen hohen Sehkomfort und eine eigenständige Ruhe. Gleichzeitig kontrastieren diese auf angenehme Weise den rauen Beton.

A pleasant visual ambience can support the architecture and at the same time be as efficient as possible in energy consumption.
The three school wings O, P and A are characterized by translucent lights. Whether in the form of the round classroom lamp or the playful "clouds" in the air spaces of the stairwells - the soft light of the illuminated materials offers a high level of visual comfort and independent calm. At the same time, these contrast the rough concrete in a pleasant way.
In the multi-purpose and sports area, the lights are staying in the background. Rather, the light here enlivens the alternating architectural elements. Be it illuminated niches and wall surfaces or even a skylight, the illuminated surfaces always serve as orientation and accompany the way between the sports area and the school wings.
The auditorium is the focal point of communication. The school presents itself here as an attentive host - also thanks to the atmospheric light.
The paths through the area are illuminated with park lights, which are characterized by a pleasant and glare-free light. The entrances to the buildings are inviting and warmly clad in wood. The lighting takes up this topic and emphasizes the incisions in the concrete body in the evening hours.
